As you probably already know, the younger generation is considerably more comfortable using newer communication technology then those who are more experienced (aka older/mature).

From DiverseEducation.com, the results of a Pew 2007 Internet and American Life Project indicate that teens and young adults are much higher users on a percentage basis of communication technology such as IM and Online Social Networking sites (see link below).
