Have you checked your vital signs lately?
The Health Ministry of GFCC takes an active role in assisting the congregation in doing just that. On the second Sunday of each month at 9:30AM in the Narthex, we take blood pressure screenings for our members. Please stop by and make this a part of your regular routine to get blood pressure checked. High blood pressure is a risk factor for heart disease and stroke, as well as a number of other serious medical problems. African Americans tend to suffer from these diseases at a higher rate than most ethnic groups. For this and other reasons, we should pay more attention to our numbers. Taking positive action now to check your pressure and keep it from getting out of hand is great way to start and continue to have a happy and healthy New Year!
