The GFCC Scholarship Golf Classic Celebrates its 12th annual Golf Tournament on Friday August 31st at 8:00am
The GFCC Scholarship Golf Classic will hold it's 12th annual golf tournament on Friday August 31st at 8:00am at the historic Stow Acres Golf Course in Stow Massachusetts.
Stow Acres was the site of the very first National Negro Open Golf Tournament that was held on Labor Day weekend in 1926. The GFCC Scholarship Golf Classic continues to honor the rich legacy that African Americans have played in the game of golf . The tournament will include 18 holes of golf, breakfast, barbeque lunch, golf cart, greens fees ,raffles, and prizes. A hole in one at the designated tee will win a brand new Acura MDX. The playing fee is only $125 and sponsorships are available. All contributions raised by the tournament are used to support the GFCC Scholarship Program which to date has distributed more than $110,000 in college scholarships and grants to deserving students in the community.
