Do you even know what an EGG DROP is?

Our own Jonathan Hampton, a Raytheon employee, recently worked with 25 middle school students from Sudbury, Framingham, and Worcester to design, build, and test a capsule that would hopefully protect and egg that was tossed and also dropped from a height of 25 feet.

The event was held as an extension of National Engineers Week which is in February.  The article reports that 70% of middle school students would like to get jobs in engineering, however only 38% of them actually end up doing it.  Hopefully with similar co-operation among companies, school systems, and local organizations, additional efforts like this can favorably change these statistics.
