Praying For Yourself

A Word From Our Pastor / A Word From Our Pastor

Sometimes we do believers wrong by making them dependent on others to pray, while at the same time preventing them from experiencing God for themselves.

Scripture teaches us to pray for each others, to call the elders of the church to pray over us, but never at the expense of our own praying for ourselves. Jesus in responding to the request of the disciples "teach us to pray" gave us not only the "Disciples prayer what we call the Lord's prayer", but he also teaches us the importance of our own praying. We must get back to whatolf folk taught us: That of learning how to struggle through, to tarry awhile, and to wait on God while not giving up. I have never seen the rightieous forsaken is the promise of God's servant in scripture.

This week, examine yourself. Have you learned to struggle through in praying for your self? Pray for Yourself!

Because the tomb is empty!
