The GFCC Teen Retreat 2008 will be on the weekend of June 20 - June 22, 2008. This year the retreat will be at the Pine Brook Camp & Conference Center, Shutesbury, MA. The cost for the retreat and transportation to the retreat will be $110 per person.For more information please call the church office at 508 626-2118 or contact Rev. Lackard at teenfellowship@gfccnet.org.

Every year millions of black students seek scholarships via a host of avenues. one of those avenues is the www.blackexcel.org website, which lists hundreds of scholarship opportunities. The journal of Blacks in Higher Education recently listed the 2008 winners for the Ron Brown Scholars scholarship.

CPC is displaying this list via the link below, so that both parents and students can see that real people actually do win these scholarships and thereby encourage them in their efforts to do the same.

The 2008 GFCC Recognition Celebration will be held Saturday June 14, 2008 from 3:30 to 6:00 PM. It will consist of the ceremony held in the sanctuary followed by dinner in the Fellowship Hall downstairs.

On Thursday May 8, 2008 from 2:00 to 5:30 PM in Nurses Hall, The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will hold Delta Day at the State House on the subject of: "Closing the Achievement Gap for Minority Students in Massachusetts".

Our own Paula Martin and Ron Butler will serve as discussion panel participants.
