Concerned Parents of Color: December is National Drunk and Drugged Driving Prevention Month (3D Month)

Don't let your holiday CHEERS turn to holiday TEARS!

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) link below highlights important figures related to drunk driving including:

Every day, 36 people in the United States die, and approximately 700 more are injured, in motor vehicle crashes that involve an alcohol-impaired driver

If you do the math this works out to per year: 13,140 DEATHS and 244,500 INJURIES

In 2006, 13,470 people died in alcohol-impaired driving crashes, accounting for nearly one-third (32%) of all traffic-related deaths in the United States
