GFCC

Wayne WillisKermit Crawford,  and Robert Evelyn will be players in the TCAN (The Center for the Arts in Natick) production of "To Kill a Mockingbird"

The TCAN Players invites you to “To Kill a Mockingbird,” by Christopher Sergel, based on Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize winning novel.   This riveting drama is being performed by a talented and dedicated cast in our recently restored “firehouse” 175-seat theater.  Set in 1935 in southern Alabama, the story is as fresh today as it was then, as local lawyer Atticus Finch commits himself to defending a black man accused of raping a white woman.  His two children, Jem and Scout, must deal with the hostilities this creates within their small town and towards their father.  At the same time, they confront their fears of the neighborhood “boogey man”  and their misperceptions of their father’s manhood and character.  “Mockingbird” is a story of fear, loneliness, courage, and redemption, with many moments of humor and tears.

The TCAN Players production of “To Kill A Mockingbird” will be performed Friday thru Sunday, March 18-20 and Thursday thru Saturday, March 24-26 at The Center for Arts in Natick, 14 Summer Street, Natick. Direction by Norma McGrath.  For tickets and showtimes, call TCAN at 508-647-0097 or visit the website at “www.natickarts.org.”
