They can be found in the Goepel of Mark, chapter 4, verse 35-41.  The context of this pronouncement from Christ was that of disciples being caught up in a storm.   All of us on this christian jouney have “storms of trouble” that we need the power and reality of God’s command to speak to.   In the text we understand several truths:

1. Storms come, even with Jesus on the boat

2. Storms come in a variety of ways

3. Sometimes it seems as if Jesus is sleeping through our storms

4. When the time is right, God will and can calm our storms

5. God does have an answer for every kind of storm, but it might not be what we want

6. No matter how the storm is stilled, it is God’s desire to bring us closer to Him

I would encourage you to read the text and remember that the vessel of your life may go through some rough storms, but with Jusus on board it will never sink!

Because the tomb is empty!
