With the economy depressed, millions of people out of work, anticipated shortages of future technical talent, increased technical content in everyday jobs, huge governmental financial and social problems, plus incredible financial mishandling of private and public institutions by our “Best & Brightest” (or at least our most highly educated people), why are certain educational commenters regurgitating simplisitic and restrictive educational policies.
One case in point are comments by Charles Murray of “ "The Bell Curve"” fame or infamy depending on your perspective.
