King was first and foremost a believer..

Some times in the rush and race to the finish line in our understanding of a person some things can get lost. Martin Luther King Jr. was first and foremost a believer in Jesus Christ. He was raised in the Baptist Church, son and grand son of Baptist ministers. His mother worked in the church, raised their children in the Church. His wife was raised in the Church and professed a relationship to Jesus Christ.Together they raised their children in the Church and introduced them to Christ in the Church.. In the Church we have a saying.".he was a son of the Church".He had his first and only calling, that of being called to the ministry, he prepared himself educationally for the ministry and pastored a Church before he ever led the cilvil rights movement.Because of his and others leadership, it was the Church that birthed the Modern civil rights movment.so as much as he reached out to alot of faiths in the struggle, His faith was in Jesus Christ. We have a saying, " don't forget where you came from".Let's not forget where King came from..

Because the tomb is empty!
