And just what are tentmakers for the gospel...
They are Christians who live in the world, but are not of the world. In particular, they are Christians that make their employment in the larger world, but are faithful to be both a witness in that place of employment as well as a giver of their substance [money] to ensure the gospel is advanced. These are children of God who take their ministry to be salt and light on their jobs serisously. The name comes from Paul, who was not only the apostle to the non-jews, but by trade was a tent maker. Have you given thought to the skills God has given you in your place of employment, that you are there to proclaim Christ! Does God get the glory out of your work with your hands and mind? This week, re-exaime your use of gifts and talents. Are you a tentmaker where God has given you a place of employment?
Because the tomb is empty!
