Are you tired of having so much to care about? With so much going on around us that we can't control and as children of God who have compassion for others, we can get so tired and weary just caring for others and trying to meet the needs of others
The words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28 are music to my ears…Christ says to all of us who are his followers (disciples) to come to him and he will give us rest.
I am sure all of you would agree with me that struggles are a part of life. What we sometimes forget or lose sight of is that all have struggles, that they start early, that they startle us, and that they are stressful.
We all, I believe, would agree that we live in a world that is filled with violence. Each of us can attest to the fact that in our own lives trouble, disappointment, difficulties, challenges and headaches invade our journey without our permission. Oftentimes we feel we are handicapped by helplessness and haunted by hopelessness. I call these days "Valley Days" and none of us are immune from them.
Life has a way of throwing us some curve balls…in some of our lives it seems like it is all the time. Storms have a way of popping up in our lives…they normally come not when we get into the boat but when we are already on the lake.
This day as a Christian we live in a world full of wolves who make it their business to be or put a stumbling block in our pathway. The danger for us as Christians is to seek to extract revenge on folk for what they do to us.
