Concerned Parents of Color: Best Places To Live In America

18 Reads

On CNNMoney.com is a survey which supposedly identifies the best small towns in the USA in which to live.  Of the Top 100, four are in Massachusetts (#3 Newton,  #28 Waltham,  #39 Brookline,  #52 Weymouth).  I did not check  the criteria they used, however with figures such as the median family income and median home price in addition to other data, this can be both an eyeopener and informative for those who are just starting their working careers.

With all the great hospitals and medical schools in our Massachusetts, why aren't there similar programs to this nearby.  After all we have fantastic hospitals & medical schools in Boston:  Mass General, Beth Israel, Brigham & Women's, Tufts Medical,  Children's, Harvard Medical School, BU Medical School, and Tufts Medical School. The same holds true for areas closer to MetroWest: Emerson, MetroWest Medical, plus Umass Memorial at Marlborough; and not forgetting those in Worcester: Umass Memorial Medical and Umass Medical School.  If the University of Florida is able to put together such a program, then our combination of hospitals and medical schools certainly should be able to build MULTIPLE  programS to foster our future doctors and other medical professionals.

Concerned parents, it is time to get busy!
