What We Believe

Our Basic Beliefs

The Bible

We believe that the Old and New Testament scripture were given by inspiration of God and serve as divine truth for Faith and Living.

God

We believe there is only one God, the creator, preserver and Governor of all things, and who is found in the three persons of the Godhead, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Humankind

We believe that we were created by God but through sinful disobedience have been separated from God and therefore are in need of Salvation through Faith.

Jesus Christ

We believe that God became man in the person of Jesus Christ, for which the divine and Human nature are united so that He is wholely divine and wholely human.

The Church

We believe the church of Jesus Christ is universal, but manifests itself in the local body of believers, meeting together as HIS 'bride of Christ'. That Christ shall come for His church without spot or blemish.

Salvation

We believe that repentance toward God, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is what reconciles us to God. This is only because of the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary.

Ordinances

We believe that both Baptism and Communion (the Lord's Supper) are visible signs of our relationship to Christ. Not only are we commanded to observe them, but we do so joyfully.

Last Things

We believe that Christ shall come at His appointed time, to judge the quick and the dead.

Ministry

We believe we are called, as the Church of Jesus Christ to preach teach and live as resurrected people. Our ministry is a ministry of unwrapping resurrected people from the entanglement of sin.
