Prayer

These are very troubling times that we find ourselves in. The violence of Buffalo, and now Texas let alone the trauma of COVID has left so many of us feeling a range of emotions. We are at times angry, frustrated, afraid, and left feeling helpless and alone. These emotions are real and you are not alone .. we are all going through this together. I think the word "together" is so important. It is our faith in God who loves us and the embrace we have of one another as a body of believers that upholds us as individuals and families.

I want to reinforce that we have a God who is bigger than anything we go through. We can not make sense of all that is happening, but we can be assured that God is on the throne, He is still in charge and He desires that we cling close to Him, His Word and each other. Christ, just before he ascended to heaven to sit at the right hand of The Father, said to the gathered disciples: "Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" . Matt 28: 20. Earlier in John 15:16 Jesus promised to send his holy spirit as an advocate to help us through all this.

I would invite you to join your church family tonight for Prayer. We will gather on the prayer line at  6:30PM to pray together. I trust you will join me:

Let's come together to pray!
